Remember the 90s? Remember seeing strange games consoles alongside the Master System, NES, Mega Drive or SNES? Because I do, and one which kept re-appearing year after year was the TV Boy, and the TV Boy 2. What in the name of lord almighty were these things? Why were they so cheap? How did they have so many games? Who owned them? Why didn't I own one? All these questions and more will be answered in this very video.
TV Boy for life y'all.
or should that be... Atari VCS for life?

  • Well, it has some good games on it, at least. Shame about the menu system. Demon Attack was a 2600 that I quite enjoyed in my youth, back before we got a Nintendo and I dropped the 2600 like a bad habit.

  • 6:42-6:51 I'm glad companies like that & tiger electronics are no longer in existence. No passion for electronics, software & video games 🙄 only thing they care about is a shitty cash grab smh. Maybe these companies could have grabbed a decent chunk of the handheld console market & left a legacy & nostalgia in the brains of 90s kids if they put some effort in like Nintendo did but nope.

    • @Junior Sanchez Clearly I commented as soon as Pac-Mania was mentioned and he mentions this a lot later. Got to love people online. No way would you ever speak to my face like that - why do it here? You don't seem cool... Or funny... Just a childish tool. You could have made fun in a humorous way and had a bit of banter with me - you know for a grin... But facetious insults, hmmm. Did you watch the video? Because if I didn't, how on earth would I know Pac-Mania was even mentioned... See the problem here? You're very argument just makes you look dumb. When my post was clearly out of laziness - not bothering the delete the post, after he stated what I posted: 5 minutes later! Please, go talk to a stranger like that - in the street, whom you don't know and get back to me as to how it went!

  • I got one as a gift from a catalogue retailer in the late 90s or early 2000s, the games was very very bad, more from the late 70s or early 80s than from the 90s. It worked may be one month and died. The worst console I ever had. At the same time I had an Atari Jaguar and a SuperNes, a million kilometers ahead from this ... let say "console" to stay polite.

  • I got one of those, but not that version (super TV boy). I was in my teens and already had been through the mega drive, but like you was intrigued so put it on my Christmas list having seen it in the Argos catalogue. I hardly used it - it was like I had to have a game for Christmas and didn't know what else to ask for and couldn't face asking for something more 'grown up'. It was eventually handed down to my younger cousins. Given that the value hasn't shot up, that's cool LOL.

  • Im not sure what it's called, but there was a system that was just a controller that had built in games. The controller was the exact design of an N64 controller. But it had two wires. A RCA cable and a power cable. It stored about 150 games on it as well. Mostly NES and snes games. Mario, contra, tetria etc. Wish I knew what it was called. It mostly sold at flea markets and bootleg shopping mall kiosks. Not on any legit game store
